cat bites
i took in a cat that was hanging around where i work. she had a flea collar on. she is very friendly, litter trained and follows me around.
i was told that she has been in the area for about two weeks. today she was sleeping on my desk and i petted her head and she bit me. i cleaned the wound and i am taking her to the vet tommorrow. should i get rabies shots or not if she appears to be ok if quaratined for ten days.
please help i am very worried. thank you

I'm no doctor (or vet), but I'd say you should seek medical advice to be on the safe side, and to put your mind at ease. I do know that quarantine periods for pets entering the UK are much longer than ten days (months I think), so you shouldn't be complacent.

My advice would be: don't worry, but don't ignore it (you'll just be left with a nagging doubt).
